And I decided to knit such a wallet for myself the other day of a 3-day trip to another city. Having packed my things in my bag, I thought a lot about how best to deal with personal hygiene items. In the box of balls I found some cotton yarn for crocheting, so I took up knitting.

For the work, I needed about 30-50 grams of yarn (it is smooth and nothing clings to it), a crochet hook (the thickness of the hook should match the thickness of the yarn), a button and a little colored yarn for finishing.

We knit a chain of 35 air loops (I tried on the length of the chain according to the length of the daily).

Along the edge of the last rectangle we begin to knit a triangle so that the wallet has something to cover. At the very top of the triangle you should make a loop for the fastener.

We tie the triangle around the edge with any decorative pattern. I made "shells". To do this, you need to make 2 lifting loops, yarn over, and insert the hook through 2 loops. Then knit 6 single crochets into this loop, then knit 1 single crochet. Then make 2 lifting loops again and repeat the pattern.

Tie the almost finished wallet along the contour with colored yarn in single crochet stitches.

Not long ago I was invited to a wedding. The gift was supposed to be in the form of money, and I wanted to present it in some original way. I decided to crochet a wallet instead of a regular envelope.

Now I’ll tell you and show you how I did it.

How to crochet a wallet, description

First, I measured a 5-thousandth bill (it’s unlikely that they’ll put anything larger in this wallet).

I knitted a rectangle with double crochets. It didn’t turn out very well, I would have liked it to be thicker...

I picked out this pattern and knitted all the other details according to it.

As you can see in photo 1, I attached a thread of a different color to the gray rectangle, knitting a row with single crochets. Further according to the scheme:

1st row: 2 VP (chain loops) lifting, 2 half double crochets (pst s/n) in the second single crochet (st b/n) of the previous row, and then 2 pst s/n through 1 tbsp b/n previous row

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until the desired height of the wallet.

We assemble and sew the related parts. We sew a button onto the coin pocket (at first I wanted Velcro, but I didn’t have it at home).

Fold the wallet in half and check if any pocket is on the fold line.
