Knitted bag with a ball of cats. Crochet bag with cats Description of knitting a bag with cats

Knitted bag “Cats” Knitted Bag “Cats”

Crochet bag "Cats". Such a stylish accessory will be an original addition to your costume and will certainly make you stand out from the crowd, because cats have a huge army of fans.

The idea is not mine. Initially, a diagram and description of a similar design were published in a Japanese magazine. Later translations appeared, although with hieroglyphs it was possible to understand the principle of knitting a bag and the pattern. There are similar bags on the Internet, but almost every craftswoman has added something of her own, individual.

Master class in Russian

Materials: black yarn “YarnArt” (ELITE) 100% acrylic, 100 g. = 300 m. (it took a little more than a skein), gray yarn of two different shades, white yarn of two different shades (I took the remains of yarn, a large ball at a time).

Attention! All yarn should be approximately the same thickness, otherwise you won’t get an even fabric, deformation and distortions will appear!

Additional materials: 8 black beads for the eyes, a large white button or decorative ring (“moon”), black lining fabric, plastic to strengthen the bottom.

Description (master class):

1. Let's draw a diagram. On a piece of notebook paper we draw cats.

1 square = 1 loop (1sc = single crochet).

2. We glue together the general scheme of two halves (the right side is a mirror image of the left).

For convenience, you can color the cats. I placed “crosses” during the knitting process, marking the knitted section of the row. The “arrows” show the direction of knitting, I also placed them during the process so as not to get confused (by clicking on the diagram, you will see a larger picture in a new window).

Attention! The diagram shows both knit and purl rows!

3. Start knitting: We knit a chain of 145 chain stitches with black thread (144 base loops + 1 lifting loop). This was the “zero” row. ATTENTION! The zero row is WRONG, so to speak, “working”; it is not shown in the diagram. Turn.

Next, the entire fabric is knitted with RLS (single crochet). Background color is black. All cats are different colors. Yarn of different textures looks especially decorative; for example, you can use boucle thread for one of the cats. Don't forget that the yarn should be the same thickness. It is important!

1st row (front): 36 sc in black, 14 sc in yellow, 22 sc in dark gray, 22 sc in white, 14 sc in light gray, 36 sc in black. (Total 144 sc, this number will remain unchanged). Turn.

2nd row (purl) and subsequent rows are knitted according to the pattern.

The fabric is knitted intarsia.

Intarsia is a technique for knitting colored fabric, in which BOTH threads change colors cross on the wrong side of the product, and not pulled through, as with the jacquard technique. The “old” thread is temporarily not involved in the work, and the work continues with the “new” thread. More often, intarsia is knitted on knitting needles, but this technique can also be crocheted.

The jacquard technique in this case is inconvenient, since it will result in very large broaches.

Each color is a separate ball. The work will simultaneously use 6 balls(black – yellow – dark gray – white – light gray – black). In the upper part of the picture, where the cats' heads are separated, more black balls will be added.

Helpful advice: To prevent threads from different balls from getting tangled with each other, you can put each ball in a large plastic glass or container. Place glasses (containers, cardboard boxes, etc.) in one row and fasten them together with a stapler. This design does not take up very much space, it can be placed against the wall, and much less nerves are wasted!

This is what the finished canvas looks like from the front side. The cats have embroidered faces, sewn on beady eyes (light cats have silver beads, dark cats have black beads), and embroidered stripes on the backs. The cats are trimmed along the contour with a stem stitch.

4. The sides of the finished fabric are sewn together. The seam will be located in the middle of the back side.

You can make a bag flat, then the bottom is also sewn. I recommend not sewing the bottom with a needle, but knitting a row of sc, crocheting the back and front walls at the same time.

If needed volumetric bag, knitted bottom. ATTENTION! To avoid making a mistake in size, knit the bottom only after the base of the bag has been sewn on the sides.

Rectangular bottom option: We knit with black thread a chain of air loops (CH) with a length slightly less than the length of the front side of the bag. The smaller the chain of VPs, the more square the bottom will end up. The closer the length of the VP chain is to the length of the bag, the more elongated (rectangular) the bottom will ultimately be. Next, the RLS fabric is knitted. Don't forget about 1 lifting stitch at the beginning of each row. Place the knitted fabric against the “tube” of the bag (i.e. the sewn base) to determine when to stop knitting. When trying on, I recommend using pins and needles for fixation.

Oval bottom option: mentally divide the front wall of the bag (i.e. the length of the bag) into 4 parts and knit a chain of air loops with a length of ? bag length. Next, knit the sc in the circle, making increases along the edges according to the diagram:

By trying on a knitted oval to the bag, you will determine the required size of the bottom. Further additions are made in the same way.

The bottom is sewn to the bag. You can baste the bottom to the bag and tie a sc, crocheting both the bottom and the bottom of the bag wall at the same time. This gives additional rigidity to the connection, and the bag holds its shape better.

5. Top of the bag we tie it in a “crawfish step” (RS are knitted along the front side in the opposite direction, i.e. from left to right). Option: tie with regular sc 1 time, then on top 1 more time.

6. “Lid”(upper jumper bar) is knitted in the required size RLS. Can be knitted separately and sewn on. You can immediately knit from the back wall. The “lid” can be easily positioned symmetrically, focusing on the seam on the back wall.

The “lid” is tied with a “crawfish step” or double sc. Option: you can sew a zipper instead of the “lid”.

7. Handle knitted separately according to the pattern:

“Bump”: insert the hook into the loop of the previous row, pull out the loop, yarn over, pull the loop through again and yarn over, pull out the loop again and yarn over, pull out the loop again, then put the thread on the hook, pull the loop through all the loops, more Thread the yarn over the hook once and pull the yarn through 1 loop on the hook.

The handle is both elastic and quite strong. The “bumps” immediately attract attention. In addition, the convex surface of the handle prevents slipping.

8. Sew the handle to the bag. Sew lining

You can provide pockets for a mobile phone and small items.

9. Sew the lining to the bag. Don't forget to reinforce the bottom with plastic first!

The bag is ready!

Another version of the bag with a triangular “lid”, which is fastened with a large button. The cats are specially trimmed along the contour so that “protruding hairs” are visible (when threads of two colors are crossed, such “tails” may remain). If you don’t like them, you just need to stitch the outline with a thicker thread, which will make the silhouette smooth.

I hope this description will help craftswomen create their own original bags!

Elena Chepikova

The secret of the original bag with funny bright cats is that it can go perfectly with clothes of any color.

Materials: Crocheted pill bag with 3D appliqués. In shape and appearance, the bag resembles a kind of ball of thread in which multi-colored cats are entangled. Somewhere a cat's head sticks out, somewhere a paw, somewhere a tail... 2 cats also nestled comfortably on the wide strap. The bag has a zipper closure and a silk lining inside.

gray wool, red, orange, yellow, blue, green, white yarn, black beads (for eyes), filling (cotton wool, padding), zipper, lining fabric.

The bag is crocheted No. 3, No. 2.5, and No. 1.75. Dimensions

: front side diameter 27 cm, side thickness (filled) up to 16 cm. Handle length 92 cm. “Zipper” 25 cm.

*…* – rapport
С1Н – double crochet

С2Н – double crochet stitch 1. Idea. Sketch.

Draw a life-size sketch of the front side of the bag on a large piece of paper. This is a circle - a “ball of thread”, from which the heads, paws and tails of cats protrude. The cat figures are not realistic, but somewhat exaggerated.

We color the sketch with bright markers and decide on the color of the yarn. 2. Base of the bag. "Clew".

Our “ball of thread” consists of 3 parts. The direction of the thread in each part must be different, which is why the parts are knitted in a certain sequence. First part A, then part B is attached to it, then part C is attached to these two parts. See photos No. 1 - 4.

It is difficult to make an accurate description of knitting such a “ball”: a lot depends on the selected bag size, on the yarn, on the configuration of each of the parts. Therefore, I will explain the general principle of knitting using the example of part A, share little secrets, and then each of the craftswomen will be able to continue working by analogy.

We knit a chain of 2 VPs.

1st row: 2 RLS = (2)
2nd row: VP lift, 2 increases = (4)
3rd row: VP lift, 4 increases = (8)
4th row: VP lift, *1 increase, 1 RLS* - 4 times = (12)
5th row: VP rise, 10 RLS, 1 decrease at the end = (11)
6th row: VP lift, * 3 RLS, 1 increase * - 2 times, 3 RLS = (13)
7th row: VP lift, * 4 RLS, 1 increase * - 2 times, 3 RLS = (15)
Row 8: VP lift, *2 sc, 1 increase* - 2 times, then with a “crawfish step” we return to the beginning of the row
Row 9 (also the 8th row again): VP lift, *3 sc, 1 increase* - 4 times, 1 sc = (21) At the beginning of the row, insert a hook from the back side of the “crawfish step” - this way maximum convexity is achieved .
Row 10: VP lift, *6 RLS, 1 increase* - 2 times, 7 RLS = (23)
11th row: VP lifting, RLS = (23)
12th row: VP rise, 10 RLS, 1 increase, 10 RLS, 1 decrease = (23)
Row 13: VP lift, *8 RLS, 1 increase* - 2 times, 5 RLS = (25)

ATTENTION! Work must be constantly applied to the pattern (drawing) and accordingly, increases or decreases must be made according to the situation. Knit the convex grooves of the “crawfish step” in pre-designated places.

Try to ensure that the knitted parts match the pattern drawing as much as possible.

Part B is knitted along side part A. See photo No. 3.

Part C is knitted along side parts A and B.

This is what the final “tangle” should look like.

If the circle is not very even, there are waves, the part needs to be soaked in warm water, straightened, pulled in the right places and left to dry on a flat surface. You can secure it with pins along the edges to be sure.

3. Application “Cat”. Hook No. 1.75. Since our cats are entangled in a ball, none of them are completely tied up.

The sequence of knitting the top of the cat: we knit a chain from VP, then we knit a rectangle of the required size with sc. See photo #5. We tie the paws on both sides: 2 or 3 sc – several rows. See photo #6. We knit the tips of the paws with white thread: sc, 2 C1H in one loop, sc. See photos No. 7 – 8.

The last stage: we tie the piece in a circle with sc, and at the same time we knit the ears on the head. Ears: SC, 2 C1H in one loop, C2H, along the arc of this last double crochet we go down with single crochets (3 or 4 of them will fit). See photo #9.

Since when tying in a circle the part will increase in size, initially knit the parts a little smaller than the intended cat.

The lower part of the cat is knitted in a similar sequence: body - paws - white tips of the paws - harness.

We stuff the eyes with cotton wool or synthetic down and sew on black beads. We embroider the nose and mouth with black thread. Sew the entire applique to the base. See photo No. 13.

We knit several multi-colored “half-cats” and distribute them throughout the bag in accordance with our plan.

Make a couple of parts with a tail. Make the tip white, and then the main color. Knit sc in the round.

Try to give the cat's faces different expressions. Sew beads on the eyes so that it seems that the cats are looking at each other.

You can knit the cat's head separately and sew it to the body, but leave the ears unsewn.

When all the parts are sewn on, you can, if desired, add a few convex “crawfish step” grooves in some places. They can be knitted directly over the fabric.

The final touch is to embroider several dotted lines with a contrasting thread. This will once again emphasize the different directions of knitting.

4. Back wall, side walls, handles, lock, lining.

You can knit the back wall of the bag in the same way as the front, only without appliqués. You can simply knit a classic circle from RLS in a spiral. See photo No. 14.

Side walls: you can not knit them at all, but simply sew the front and back parts - then the bag will be flat.

If you want to make the bag voluminous, then tie 7 circular rows of sc on both the front and back sides of the bag. And sew the parts together, leaving space at the top for sewing in the lock. I recommend taking a hook of a smaller number, for example, No. 2.5.

I wanted to “play” with the shape of the bag, experiment, and make it even more unusual in silhouette.

My “experimental” version (see photo No. 17):
1st side row: sc in circle
2nd row: *3 sc, 1 decrease*

3 – 7 row: RLS

The reductions in the second row made the side walls not perpendicular to the front and back walls, but tapering. As a result, the empty bag “folds” and becomes flat. And when filled it turns into almost a regular “tablet”. But – I agree – this is not for everyone. Perhaps such experiments may seem unnecessary to some. This is the beauty of creativity - everyone brings something of their own.

The handle is knitted wide, across the entire thickness of the bag, rows of “crawfish step” are knitted randomly.
I offer a fragment of a translation of a book with a description of knitted handbags for girls in the shape of animals. In this part we will look at how to knit the base for all five bags: cow, pig, bear, puppy, kitten and hare.

A very cheerful accessory for a girl - with a cute cat. It’s impossible to resist, knitting is easy. By the way, this is an anniversary entry on the site—the hundredth. I didn’t even think that I was capable of this. :)

Children's handbag size: 22 cm x 28 cm

To knit a bag you will need: 50 g of white Lily yarn (composition - 100% cotton, thread length - 180 m/50 g), 50 g of red Lira yarn (composition - 60% cotton, 40% acrylic, thread length -150 m/50 g ), some pink, blue and dark blue yarn, crochet hook No. 2, ready-made round handles made of wood or plastic.

I would like to draw your attention to yarn. There are 2 types of Lily yarn, one thinner - 75 g per 450 m, and a thicker one. To knit this model, you need thicker yarn, it is produced by Semenovskaya Yarn, 100 g in a skein, the length of the thread is about 100 g ! – 392 m.

Knitting density: 24 pet. x 28 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.

Knitting a children's bag with a cat, description:

The handbag is knitted in one piece. Knit a chain of 50 chain stitches with white Lily yarn. and continue knitting sc, knit 45 rows in total - you will get the wrong side of the handbag.

Knit the front side according to the pattern with the cat. Having knitted 45 rows according to the pattern, complete the knitting, fasten the thread and cut it. Embroider the eyes with blue thread, as shown in the diagram.

Assembly: Fold the knitted bag piece in half and join the sides together with single crochets using red yarn. Then tie the top edge, also with red thread, 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of double crochets.

Let's start tying the handles of the handbag: tie the finished pieces using single crochets with red yarn. Sew the handles to the front of the bag.

That's it, the cute children's accessory with a cat is ready..Based on materials from “Knitted Ideas Box” for children.

Well, mom can knit such a funny bag with cats (also a hook):

Hello to all needlewomen! My name is Olga. Just yesterday I finished knitting a handbag for a young lady and upon completion I looked at my favorite website in search of something new. And here's a surprise - ! And also about knitted handbags. Well, how can you not participate?

A children's purse in the shape of a cat is both a bag and a toy. Little girls will be happy to carry their jewelry in such a bag to kindergarten and play with it. This kitty can be a good gift for March 8th (as in my case), or just a pleasant surprise. Every lady, even the smallest one, should have accessories that highlight her individuality!

  • interesting selection for the site!!!
  • An introductory article to amigurumi knitting. Basic techniques and simple toys.

I knitted a handbag according to the description taken. To be honest, the description really tormented me. I guess it's because of the translation. I knitted some elements in my own way. So, for example, I knitted the body not double, but single, I made the body slightly higher than indicated in the description, and for the last 3 rows I made decreases at the beginning, middle and end of the row. Two decreases at the beginning, 4 in the middle, 2 more at the end. This is done so that the handbag takes on a more stable shape.

I also knitted the valve in my own way. From the amigurumi ring by alternately casting st/s2n. dc/dc, hs/dc, 2 dc/dc, hs/dc, dc/dc, dc/dc2n make a triangle and then work dc/dc to the desired height, increasing at the beginning of the row.

I added a small strap to the bag (remnants of yarn), as I thought it would be more practical. It is inconvenient for a child to carry a bag, even a toy, in his hands all the time. The strap is knitted with a “mesh” pattern, dc/dc alternated with ch.

I knitted with MERINO DE LUXE yarn (100 g. 280 m.), it took exactly 2 skeins. Since I crocheted everything except the strap in two threads, I needed a No. 6 hook, and crocheted the strap with a No. 3 crochet hook. The size of the handbag was 30cm. by 15 cm (excluding strap)

So, in more detail, what is needed to knit a bag:

Merino de luxe yarn – 2 skeins of brown or gray color

Some pink yarn, maybe some leftovers

Hooks No. 6 and 3

Yarn needle

Foam rubber (filler for handles)

Synthetic fluff (filler for paws, tail, muzzle)

2 black beads for eyes

Textile glue (glue the spout)

Button (you can knit it yourself)

Pink ribbon for bow
