Knitting a hat and a scarf for a boy's shirt front. Knitted bibs for children with diagrams and descriptions. White shirt-front knitted

I tried to knit a “neck” or “collar” many times. I knitted the first copies, relying only on my imagination, you can wear them, but it’s even a shame to show photos here :-). The penultimate option I chose was too complex - with a pattern, I knitted it strictly according to the instructions, but I didn’t calculate the loops at the very beginning, as a result the shirtfront turned out to be very small. Only on the third approach did I get something more or less decent. I chose the simplest method - knitting a shirtfront on circular knitting needles with raglan lines. I didn’t make any special patterns so as not to get confused. Now that I have already understood the pattern for knitting a shirt front, I can experiment with the pattern, and I will definitely share the results later. In the meantime, I present to the readers a shirtfront with raglan for a two- to three-year-old child.

How to knit a removable collar for a child

For work I needed:

  • acrylic threads of two colors (one skein of each),
  • circular knitting needles,
  • hook for edging the finished product.

Threads should be chosen with a small wool content or pure acrylic, otherwise the mantle will be very itchy. My acrylic threads were very thin, so I knitted in two threads. To make the product not completely boring, I decided to knit it in stripes, alternating white and blue colors.

First you need decide on the number of loops. To do this, you need to make simple mathematical calculations or use the method for the lazy, as I did :-). If you have a finished product knitted from similar threads on knitting needles of the same size, for example, it could be a scarf, then you can fit it to your head, stretching it slightly, mark the length of the head circumference, and then count how many loops are included in this value . For example, I did it 68 stitches, that’s exactly how many I cast for the shirt front of a 2.5 year old child.

If there is no knitted item on which to count the loops, then simple mathematical calculations will come to our aid. To do this, we need to measure the circumference of the child's head, you can take the value from the table below. And knit a small sample square using the same knitting needles and threads that are intended for the shirtfront.

We stretch the knitted sample a little and note how many loops fit into 5 cm (you can take a different length). I have 7 loops in 5 cm. We count how many loops are in one cm:

7: 5 = 1.4 loops - 1 cm

Find out the knitting density (5 cm 7 loops)

My son's head circumference is 50 cm, which means to find out the number of loops required for this size, you need:

1.4 * 50 = 70 loops.

My “lazy” calculations differ from the exact ones by 2 loops, I think the difference is not very significant. If I had cast on 70 stitches instead of 68, the shirtfront would not have gotten much bigger.

So, we figured out the quantity. We put loops on the knitting needles and knit with an elastic band 2*2 (knit two, purl two). You can knit in the round on five knitting needles, like an elastic band, or you can knit with circular knitting needles. I chose the last option, somehow I prefer circular knitting needles.

We knit an elastic band - knit 2, purl 2.

We knit approximately 14 - 15 cm so that the collar is turned up. Then we start knitting raglan. To do this, you need to divide the loops into 4 parts. Two parts are the front and back, and the other two parts are the hangers.

On hangers - 11 loops,

On the back and front - 23 each.

As you can see, there are half as many loops on the shoulders as on the front and back.

Now we need to mark the outer loops, I do this using a contrasting thread. We count 11 loops - mark with a thread, then 23 loops - again a thread, again 11 - a thread, and the last 23 loops - a thread. In the photo below you can see how this is done. As a result, we should have 4 marks on the product.

Now we continue to knit with stockinette stitch, and Having reached the marked loops, add 2 loops in each front row - one before the marked loop, the other after it. You can add more by yarn over or by pulling out a loop, as I did (see photo below).

To add a stitch on each knit row, place the needle under the thread... ...pick up the thread...
...and pull out the loop

We knit 9-10 cm in this way, after which we close the shoulders and back. Before we continue to knit, decreasing two stitches at the beginning and at the end of each front row (decreasing after the edge loop). When its length reaches 15-16 cm, you can also close the loops.

If you knitted on circular knitting needles, then the product needs to be sewn. In principle, the work can be completed here, but I wanted to decorate the edges of the shirtfront a little. To do this, I crocheted them using a very simple pattern. By the way, if you crochet it, the edges will not curl. If you don’t know how to crochet, you can knit the last 5-6 rows with an elastic band, but you need to do this on the previously closed back and hangers, and on the front.

…behind
This is how the collar fits on my Miroslav

This is what ended up happening. Just right for my boy! Our height is 94 cm, age 2.5 years.

Continuation…

P.S.: This year I decided to knit a new shirt for my son ( Now we are 3 years and 3 months old, height 100 cm), and since the old one still fit, without hesitation I cast on 68 loops. I knitted with the same circular knitting needles. But after knitting several rows, I realized that it turned out to be very large. The fact is that I knitted with other threads - “Children's Novelty” yarn, its composition is also acrylic, but not fluffy and not prickly at all. The thread turned out to be thicker, so the elastic band turned out wider. I untied everything connected and cast on 10 less loops - 58 loops. Knitted in two threads. That is why it is very important to pre-calculate the required number of loops, because everyone’s threads are different, and so is the knitting density.

Shirt for 3 - 4 years (height 100 cm) Yarn “Children's novelty”, cast on 58 loops in two threads

Yarn consumption for a shirtfront - two skeins of 50 grams (200 meters each) However, crocheting required a little more yarn - I started the third skein, but very little of it was used.

These are the threads I used - “Children’s novelty”
It took 2 skeins to make the shirt front; I had to start a third to crochet it Length of shirt front for 3 - 4 years - 37 cm Width - 34 cm Back length - 35 cm

This time I decided to tie the back longer. To do this, after closing the shoulder loops, I transferred the back loops to an auxiliary needle. I knitted the front to the desired length, and then returned to the back and knitted it. I crocheted the edges of the shirtfront using the same pattern as the first option.

knitted hat and shirtfront "Rime"

for a boy (knitted)

The main requirements for this set were: a boyish design and a simple pattern, ears and ties on the hat, a fairly high collar on the shirtfront and a closed chest. All this was combined in a simple but effective “Rime” set. Before the knitting needles had time to rest, the second set of a smaller size was immediately knitted. For it I used yarn of a different yardage, so I will describe both options below.

The pattern is suitable even for beginner knitters; I knitted it for boys, but it is also perfect for girls.

Set for size 3-5 years (51-55 cm)

A cap

Materials used:

Size 3-5 years (head circumference 51-54 cm). Cap height 20 cm.

Description:

The hat is knitted in the round without seams. Knitting begins with ties. Cast on 4 stitches on a stocking needle and knit a hollow cord of the desired length (mine is 25 cm)

Then increase at the beginning and end of the front row after and before the edge loop until there are 32 loops on the needles. Put the eye aside (break the thread) and knit the second one (DO NOT break the thread)
Verbal description of the ear:

25) 1k, yarn over, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, yarn over, 1k
27) 1k, yarn over, 1i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 1i, yarn over, 1k

On the second ear, knit 1 more knit row without increments, at the end of the row, instead of 1k, knit 1i. Turn the knitting wrong side towards you and move 20 stitches to the right

Advice: It’s better to pick up the loops on the wrong side from left to right, this way the edge looks neater

Connect the ears. Knit in turning rows of 2 cm (9 rows), then cast on 44 loops for the front of the cap and close the knitting into a circle. Total 128 loops. Knit with an elastic band of 2l by 2 and 5 cm (19 rows). Shift the beginning of the row, making it at the back of the head (rapport starts from the sixth cast-on loop at the back of the head).
On the wrong side, the eyelet ends with 1 purl loop, which means the nape pattern starts with 1 purl loop, then 2l, 2i, 1l are knitted - from this loop the increases begin, it is the sixth loop from the eye, 1l and further according to the description of the increases.

1l, increase in front, 1l, increase in front, 2l, increase in front, 1l, increase in front, 1l, 1i, increase in purl, 1i, 2l, 2i, 2l, 1i, increase in purl, 1i - 8 times. Total 176 loops

Every beginning craftswoman can knit a shirtfront with her own hands. The article contains many different models and a description of their knitting.

A shirtfront is a circular scarf with a narrow part for the throat and a wider part covering the neckline. This collar perfectly protects from the cold and is considered a fashionable and modern accessory. You can put the shirt front on your child in winter and not worry that this round scarf will slip off the neck.

  • This collar is easy to knit, and even a novice craftswoman can do it.
  • You can knit a shirtfront on both circular and single knitting needles. In any case, you will get a beautiful and stylish model.
  • If you buy good wool or wool blend yarn, the shirtfront will be warm, soft and cozy. This garment does not take much time to knit and this scarf will bring warmth to your loved ones.

To knit such a scarf, you need to correctly calculate the number of loops. How to calculate the number of stitches for knitting a women's shirtfront? Do the following:

  • Cast on 20 stitches on the knitting needles and knit 10 rows with stocking fabric (knit stitches on the front row, purl stitches on the back row).
  • Measure the circumference of your head and neck. Write down the result.
  • 20 loops yielded 9.5 cm of knitted fabric. Stretch the sample - you get 15 cm. Divide 9.5/15, you get 0.63.
  • Head circumference 55 cm multiplied by 0.63, you get 34 cm. Add 5 cm so that the product can be easily put on and taken off.
  • 20 loops equal 9.5 cm. Let's do the calculations: multiply 39 cm by 20 and divide by 9.5, you get 82 loops. You need to cast on 80-82 loops. You can safely cast on 80 cm - that’s a little more than 82 loops.
  • If the yarn is thin, you will have to cast on more loops, and if it is thick, less. Be sure to knit the sample first, and then do the calculations.

Cast on 80 cm and knit an elastic band. How to knit the next piece, read below.

Knitting with two needles is simple and easy. To create a shirtfront, you don’t need to come up with complex patterns; you can use garter stitch, fabric with knit stitches, tangle stitch and other simple patterns. Dickey-scarf with 2 knitting needles for beginners - diagram, description, photo:

Your baby will never freeze if he wears a bib. This wardrobe item can be knitted quickly, and in just a couple of hours you will get an elegant and beautiful baby shirt.

Calculate the stitches for a simple baby shirt using knitting needles for a baby in the same way as for adults. Usually, if for adults 100 loops are cast on a collar, then for a child 70-80 loops are enough.

  • Knit a 10 cm sample.
  • Calculate how many loops are in this pattern.
  • The length of the elastic band in a circle is equal to the volume of the head plus 4-5 cm.
  • Then make 2 yarn overs in each raglan line, in each row.

Rows 136-216 - olive.
Pattern
Measure the head circumference (= 52 cm), subtract 4 cm for the stretch of the cap (= 48 cm) and divide into 6 equal parts (= 8 cm). When knitting crosswise, 8 cm (= 32 rows) is the length of 1/6 of the cap. Cap height - 16 cm (= 36 loops).

Description of work
On knitting needles No. 2.5, cast on 36 sts and knit according to the diagram and pattern as follows:
1 part: purl rows from 1st to 31st : 1 chrome, 1 yarn over, 32 knits, 2 knits. together, 1 chrome; facial rows from 2nd to 32nd - facial loops.
Part 2:purl rows from 33rd to 63rd : 1 chrome, 2 faces. together, 32 knits, 1 yarn over, 1 edge; facial rows from 34th to 64th - facial loops.
Part 3: knit a little differently. Decrease loops as in part 1, at the end of each purl row from 65th to 95th , and yarn overs - at the beginning of every 2nd purl row , i.e. V 65, 69, 73, 77, 81, 85, 89, 93rd rows ; facial rows from 66th to 96th - facial loops.
Part 4: purl rows from 97 to 127 knit as in part 3, only in a mirror image, i.e. decreasing loops at the beginning of each purl row , and making yarn overs at the end of every 2nd purl row ; facial rows from 98 to 128 - facial loops.
Part 5: from 129th to 160th row knit as in part 1.
Part 6: from 161st to 192nd row knit as in part 2. In the 192nd row, close the loops and leave the end of the thread long enough so that you can.
Assembly
Moisten the fabric of the product, straighten it and let it dry. Connect the tops of the corners and make 4 seams in succession, as indicated on the pattern. The ties can be knitted or simply braided. Sew a star button on the toe. Lightly steam the bottom of the cap.
I have an idea!
A hat can be knitted without top seams, if at the end of each purl row of the 2nd (4th, 6th) part you pick up the penultimate walls of the edge loops of the 1st (3rd, 5th) part, and at the beginning of each For the front row, knit 2 knits. together (as when knitting heels in socks).

Knitting a shirtfront

The shirt front is knitted wide (across) garter stitch short rows.
Knitting density: 19 sts and 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Description of work
On knitting needles No. 3.5, cast on 50 sts (= 25.5 cm) and knit as follows:
1 row (front): 1 chrome; 2 persons cross to the left (knit 1 on the auxiliary needle before work, knit 1, knit 1 on the auxiliary needle); 46 persons; 1 chrome
2nd row
3rd row: 1 chrome; 2 persons cross to the left; 46 persons; 1 chrome
4 row: 1 chrome; 46 persons; 2 purl; 1 chrome
Row 5 (short) : 1 chrome; 2 persons cross to the left; 11 persons; turn the work.
Row 6 (short) : remove 1 p.; 10 persons; 2 purl; 1 chrome
Row 7 (short) : 1 chrome; 2 persons cross to the left; 19 persons; turn the work.
Row 8 (short) : remove 1 p.; 18 persons; 2 purl; 1 chrome
Repeat from rows 1 to 8 until the work reaches approximately 30 cm on the shortest side. Then close all the loops and leave the end of the thread long enough to make an invisible knitted seam.
Attention! After turning the work in the 6th and 8th shortened rows, remove the first loop and tighten it so that there is no large hole.
Assembly
Moisten the product, straighten it and let it dry. Sew the back seam.

Hello, dear friends!

If you are interested in the question of how to knit a shirtfront for a child, then you have come to the right place. The shirtfront that I knitted for my granddaughter in addition to the shirt, she wears with great pleasure and, I think, wears it for more than one year.

Zlatochka herself asked to knit her shirtfront. Seeing my grandfather trying it on, she looked at me pitifully and said: “Will you knit one like this for me?..” How can you refuse!

To knit the shirt front, I decided to use the threads from which the pompom of the hat was made, so that the two things would match each other.

I bought yarn for knitting a shirt front a long time ago - this is sectional Turkish yarn Kramer from the KARTOPU brand, I don’t even know if it’s on sale now, and Turkish Sal Sim yarn from the ALIZE brand with a shiny thread (metallic).

I think it won’t be difficult to choose a warm and soft bulky yarn for a shirtfront now.

Children's shirtfront with knitting needles

At first I thought of knitting a shirtfront with 1 x 1 ribbing, like a hat, but the knitting didn’t impress me - in contrast to the large knitted hat, it didn’t look very good... But then I remembered about , which is not as voluminous and loose as English elastic, and this option appealed to me arranged.

For knitting a shirt front you need circular or stocking needles No. 5, for a cast-on row - No. 6.

So, on knitting needles No. 6 (to slightly widen the edge of the golf collar), cast on 48 stitches, distribute them onto stocking needles No. 5, connect them into a circle and knit:

  • 1st round: *knit 1, purl 1*;
  • 2nd circular row: *yarn over, slip 1, purl 1*;
  • 3rd round: *knit a yarn over with a removed loop from the previous row, purl 1*.

To make the shirt collar fit better to the neck, I decided to knit its inner part with the usual “1 x 1 Elastic band”, evenly adding 12 loops (every 4 loops) when switching to this elastic band, 60 loops on the knitting needles.

Having knitted 5 cm with this elastic band, we knit one circular row with facial loops. In it we evenly add another 12 loops (every 4 loops), as a result we get 72 loops.

If the child’s shoulders are wider (a boy, for example), you can evenly add 20 loops (every 3 loops).

At the end of the same front row, we perform a turn to the wrong side, since the sides of the semi-patent (“Pearl”) elastic band have different patterns. The reversal is done like this:

  • Having knitted the last loop of the circular row, we re-slip the 1st loop of the new row onto the right knitting needle,
  • after it we transfer the working thread to the front side, as if making a bookmark,
  • then we return the loop from the right knitting needle to the left one,
  • unfold the product to the wrong side and begin to knit with a semi-patent elastic band,
  • at the end of the circular row, use the right knitting needle to pick up the loop formed by the working thread and knit it together with the last purl loop.

Having knitted 6 cm, we proceed to partially close the loops of the shirtfront: we knit 48 loops with a semi-patent elastic band, then we close the last 24 loops of the row and 24 loops of the new circular row.

We will close the remaining 24 loops in the front of the shirtfront gradually to create a corner that covers the chest and creates the appearance of a sweater when the outerwear is partially unbuttoned.

To do this, at the end of each row we knit the penultimate and last (edge) loops together with the front one. We continue to do this until there are 3 loops left on the knitting needle. We close them like this:

  • as when knitting, we remove 2 loops together, we knit the next loop and pull it through the 2 removed loops, we pass the tail of the working thread through this loop and tighten it.

All that remains is to complete the fringe. To do this, cut pieces of thread 15 cm long and put them two together.

We take two pieces, bend them in half and attach them with a hook to the edge of the shirtfront as shown in the picture for making tassels. I attached the tassels through one loop.

This simple but cute shirtfront came to me in two days (it could have been faster, but... everyday matters). Looks great paired with a hat (especially with its pom-pom)!

Now you know how to knit a shirtfront for a child. Once you start knitting, the description will no longer seem so complicated and incomprehensible. In any case, you can always ask anything in the comments below the article, I will always answer!

P.S. Today was the first day of Zlatina’s (she is 3.5 years old) aesthetic gymnastics classes (until recently I didn’t even know that such a thing existed). She felt like a fish in water in the hall!

The coach (a girl of about 20) said that our girl is quite suitable for gymnastics - flexible and flexible. Well, let's see how long it will last - so far I've liked everything...

Well, I'm waiting for your comments, dears! And I will be very grateful if you express your opinion!

Finally, I want to offer you a video description of another shirt for a 4-5 year old child from a wonderful craftswoman, mother of three sons Anna Kirilova.
