How to crochet a large rose. Crocheted rose: patterns and detailed instructions for the knitting process. Knitting a voluminous rose from individual elements: a step-by-step lesson for advanced knitters

Crocheted flowers can be used to decorate all sorts of things, from a handbag with a hat to clothing. An ordinary flowering twig in a vase looks no less impressive. It can be a chrysanthemum or a rose (crocheted). A diagram describing the manufacture of the latter is presented below.

Opened bud

A diagram with a description will help you create your own unfading bouquet. will be made from its most beautiful part, namely from a fully blossomed bud.

The initial chain on it consists of 75 loops, but it is easy to increase or decrease it. To do this, it is enough to add (subtract) such a number of them that it is divisible by ten. This will make it more convenient to work with the petals later.

It starts with a description that will help you) from the center of the bud. On the initial chain you need to make another air loop for lifting. On the first two loops knit 4. In the third we make a single crochet and a single crochet, on the 4th and 5th we make one double crochet.

The continuation of the entire first row is the basis for the petals that will make up the rose (crocheted). The pattern (with description) is as follows: first we knit two double crochets in the next two loops, and then until the end we alternate one and two double crochets from the same base. You need to complete it like this: in the penultimate loop you should knit a single crochet, in the last loop you should knit a connecting one.

The entire second row is the petals themselves. The diagram (with description) clearly demonstrates how to make them. The crocheted rose is almost ready. During the knitting process, the strip is already folded, suggesting the direction in which the flower will then need to be made. All that remains is to roll it into a bud and sew it at the base.

Sepal

The rose will be held on it (with a hook). The diagram with description is very simple. It starts with two air loops. The furthest from the hook you need to knit 6 single crochets. This is the first row. In the second and third, 6 of the same columns should be added evenly. Fourth row: 6 chain stitches and 2 single crochets are repeated until the end. Close the row and leave a long thread. She will use it to sew the sepals to the bud.

leaf

Without them, a crocheted rose (a diagram with a description is given in the article) will look unfinished. The leaves can be made the same size or even different.

For the base of the first row, you need to cast on 14 loops, with the last two forming the rise. Let's look further.

  • First row: in the third loop, knit a connecting stitch, then two in a row without a crochet, 6 with one crochet, 1 without a crochet, 2 connecting ones.
  • Second: aerial, connecting stitch, 2 double crochets in one loop (2 times), double crochet, 2 double crochets in one loop, one double crochet (2 times), 2 double crochets in one loop, connecting, go around the top of the leaf and repeat this pattern in reverse order along the other half.
  • Third row: chain stitch, 2 double crochets in one loop (3 times), one double crochet (2 times), 2 of the same in one loop, one, 2 double crochets in one loop, then you need to use connecting stitches to get to the top sheet and knit a single crochet. Repeat the pattern on the second half of the leaf in reverse order.

Unopened bud

But this is not the only diagram with a description (crocheted rose). How to knit so that the bouquet looks real? It is necessary that not only blossoming flowers be present, but also barely open buds.

For very small rose flowers, you should knit them as described above, only the length of the chain needs to be made very small. But an almost closed bud should be done differently.

First the cup is knitted. On a ring of three loops, you need to make eight single crochets, adding six stitches evenly in three rows. Then you should knit the leaves of the cup according to the pattern. Now you need to tie a bud cone from the center of the cup. It is performed by analogy with a cup, only in reverse order.

Assembling a rose

Bend one centimeter of thick wire at one end. Attach a rosebud to it. If it is open, then sew a sepal to it from below. Then you need to wrap the wire with the same yarn that was used to knit the green part of the rose.

Then you should simultaneously attach wire branches with unopened buds and leaves. For greater resemblance to the leaves of a real rose, it is recommended to fasten them in threes on one small wire. Moreover, the central one is supposed to be knitted with a large one, and those on the sides with small ones. At the very bottom of the wire the thread will need to be glued.

There are many things in the world that you can knit with your own hands. It just requires a little experience and patience. The work turns out to be interesting. You can knit not only clothes, but also accessories. One of the most popular additions to clothing is a rose. It is very easy to knit by yourself. If you decide to try your hand at such work, then the main thing is to prepare the material. A crochet rose decorates any look, and the knitting pattern will help you in your work.

This rose can be used not only as an addition to clothing. By attaching an elastic band, you get a hair decoration, it looks chic on a hat, and if you attach it to a sweater, it will turn out elegant.

Making a bright crocheted rose with patterns

Before you start working, you need to remember: the outcome depends on the chosen yarn, hook, knitting density and the length of the air chain.

Each craftswoman has her own knitting density and can end up with completely different flowers. The article will describe how to crochet a beautiful and lush rose.

The very first step is knitting a chain of air loops. The length for a voluminous flower is about twenty centimeters.

Second row knitting: two columns, one yarn over in one loop, which is divided by three air loops. Double columns need to be knitted through one loop along an air chain.

Third row: two columns and one yarn over, three chain stitches, two columns and one yarn over in each loop of the previous row.

Beginning of row: seven columns with one crochet in each loop of the previous chain row for six loops. Then knit seven columns with two yarn overs in each chain stitch of the previous row, until the very end of the row.

Cut the end of the thread and fasten it. We collect the flower from the side where the petals were with one crochet. Spiral wrap it and sew it.

Continue sewing this way until the very end, and if necessary, sew on the hair elastic as well. A beautiful flower pleases the eye.

Create a beautiful rose for a vase

You can make an interesting decoration for your room or give it to a loved one. Crocheting any flower, and especially roses, is an activity for persistent craftswomen who replenish their basket with new works.

You need to prepare yarn of any color. The size of the flower depends on the number of air loops. In our work we need sixty of them.

For further work, a diagram is attached:

After knitting all the steps, it turned out to be a spiral.

You can take matching threads or even a contrasting color and tie the edges. This will give the rose a more complete look.

Sew a spiral using threads step by step. The result is a flower bud.

You also need to tie a cup to the rose. The diagram will help with this:

You can add variety to the cup: make one petal small and the other larger.

Now tie the leaves. You can make both large and small (without knitting the last row).

A rose needs a stem. A straight stick will do. If you do not cut off the knots, you can attach leaves to them. Wrap the stick with green thread.

Having made the stem, we move on to attaching the cup. You need to put it a little on the stem itself so that the cup holds better, and sew it on. We also sew on the leaves.

We attach the bud to the cup and the gift is complete. You can make a bouquet of such roses and please someone. The flowers turn out very natural and natural.

Volumetric rose for beginners with description

You can create a rosette that is very elegant and sophisticated. Before starting work, you need to study the diagrams:

Using the first pattern, make three petals. We make the very first circle of loops tightly so that the hole is almost closed. Hide the starting thread, and make the one that remains long at the end. The rose will be attached to it.

Knit three petals according to the second pattern:

Knit four more petals according to pattern number four.

And according to the fifth scheme, you need to knit five petals.

The third scheme is created for the bud, to which all the petals will be attached. The beginning of the air loops (the ring itself) should be loose, so that you can then insert the stem. Fill the bud with padding polyester.

It's time to sew on the petals. Where there is a hole in the bud, it should be at the bottom. You need to sew in layers, based on the volume of the petals. You need to sew them in halves: half of the first petal, half of the second. Sew the remaining half of the first petal onto the second. Thus, sew on all three petals. It should look similar to the picture:

The remaining petals are attached in the same way. You need to see if the petals lie neatly and try them on.

Let's move on to creating the leaves and stem. Cut two small pieces of wire and one larger one. Tie the leaves according to the already familiar pattern from the previous master class: two large, four small. Wrap small pieces of wire with green tape, and when the larger wire is wrapped, attach these wires crosswise to it.

Glue leaves to the ends. Tie the sepals and assemble the work.

To create dew, stick a couple of beads.

Video on the topic of the article

For beginner craftswomen, it is better to use a video tutorial. They will describe the most basic knitting steps, and you can use a variety of videos for ideas.

So, you will need:
-yarn, I also have PELICAN (Vita Cotton). Composition: 100% double mercerized cotton. Thread length 330 m. Skein weight 50 g. and COCO (Vita Cotton). Composition:100% mercerized cotton. Thread length 240 m. Skein weight 50 g.
-hook, I have number 1.7
- the wire is thinner so that it bends well, and thick for the stem, it should not bend under the weight of the rose.
- green floral tape
- glue, I used Moment, universal gel
- padding polyester, small quantity
- beads or half-beads, for dew drops
- a vessel where your rose will live, I have a small glass vase and decorative stones.

These are the diagrams

We knit three petals according to pattern No. 1. Make the initial circle of air loops as small as possible so that the hole is almost invisible. We hide the starting thread and leave a longer thread at the end so that later we have something to sew the rose together with.

According to pattern No. 2, we also knit three petals, according to the same principle.

According to pattern No. 4 we knit 4 petals

According to pattern No. 5 we knit 5 petals

According to pattern No. 3, we knit a bud, and we will sew the petals to it. Here the initial ring of air loops should be larger so that there remains a hole where we will then insert the wire stem. The bud needs to be stuffed tightly with padding poly.

Now we will sew the petals onto the bud. Remember that the hole for the stem should be at the bottom. We will sew it in layers, according to the number of petals of different sizes - that is, there will be four layers. You need to sew them on like this. First we sew half of the petal, then half of the second petal, then sew the second half of the first petal onto the second petal. And so on all three petals in a circle. It should look like this.

We sew the remaining petals using the same principle. Just try it on first, make sure the petals fit nicely. In the end it should turn out like this.

Now the stems and leaves. Cut the thin wire into pieces: two smaller and one larger. We knit leaves of a suitable shape. There are many diagrams of different leaves on the Internet, choose what you like, I won’t focus on it here. You need two more and four smaller leaves. We wrap the two smaller pieces of wire with floral tape. Then we begin to wrap the larger one and in the process we wrap the small stems crosswise several times to the large one, as in the photo.

Then glue the leaves to the stems. We take a thick wire for the main stem and also wrap it with floral tape, in the process wrapping a branch with leaves, according to the same principle - crosswise. I knitted the sepal without a pattern, a circle in single crochets, up to 30 loops, then each leaf separately - 6 loops at the base, in every third row we decrease 1 loop. Be sure to leave a hole in the middle for the stem. Then we put the sepal on the stem, thickly coat the tip of the stem with glue and stick it into the rose, trying to push it further away. We move the sepals to the rose and glue them.

We put the rose in a vase. We give a beautiful shape to the branches with leaves. We glue beads to imitate dew drops and admire them.

To decorate handmade products, many craftswomen use crocheting roses. Many of them come up with designs for such decorations on their own. Beginning needlewomen have to look for simple options that they can easily handle.

Varieties of roses

Before we take a closer look at crocheting roses with patterns, let’s first figure out what they are. The simplest are ordinary flat flowers, which often serve as the basis for round or square motifs. These products are often used as appliques or elements of Irish lace.

Volumetric roses with several layers of petals are much more popular. It’s not easy to figure out how to knit them the first time. But, having mastered the main principles, you can begin to improvise and create your own “varieties” of these colors.

Roses are also used as patterns. This is most typical for fillet knitting. This technique has the most scope for recreating complex and detailed designs. The knitting pattern and description of which are available in the collections of many craftswomen can be mastered in a couple of hours.

Snow-white volumetric rose

Based on a simple flower, you can knit a beautiful three-dimensional decorative detail. It consists of several layers.

The first stage of work is to knit a simple flower. We knit a self-tightening ring from 2 single crochets. In the second row we make 6 arches from air loops. Their number can be arbitrary, but you should not do more than 5, so as not to greatly stretch the flower.

On the arches we form the petals themselves with and without. Approximate pattern: 1 single crochet, 2 double crochets, 1 double crochet, 1 single crochet. As you noticed, the petal is made symmetrically. You can experiment with the number of stitches and crochets yourself. But the more you place on one arch, the more voluminous the petal itself will be. This initial rose will be created in the following steps.

When the first row of petals is ready, we do not break the thread, but on the wrong side we make 6 more arches from air loops so that they reach approximately the middle of the front row. We form the petals according to the same principle, but we make a little more columns, since the number of air loops has increased. In this way you can make up to 5 tiers. It won't be very nice anymore.

Square motif

In this way, not only flowers for applique are created, but also bases for various motifs. This is the joy that crocheting roses gives. Schemes of such motifs were used by our grandmothers when

When the main flower is ready, it is tied with green yarn along the lower tier. For this, simple arches made of air loops are used. Imitations of leaves are made on four sides of the flower using lush columns or columns with a common top. It is advisable to make the next row with yarn of the third color, which will become the background. Double crochets are made in this row. In the corners where the leaves are located, the canvas expands due to an arch of air loops.

An excellent basis for a blanket or scarf - these voluminous crocheted roses. Patterns, knitting and assembling the finished product do not require special skills from the craftswoman.

Another version of the square motif

Square motifs quite often use crochet roses as a base. The scheme of work in them is always approximately the same. First, a ready-made flower is made, and then leaves and the main background are attached to it, which turns into a square.

In the version presented here, the transition to a square shape is achieved using a simple mesh of air loops. This technique helps to maintain a square shape: in the corners the workpieces are knitted not in one arch, but in two, as if placing the hook twice under one base.

The leaves in this pattern are made separately and then sewn on. An example of a leaf could be as follows: we knit a chain of air loops and form 3 loops from it. Then we tie them with a single crochet in such a way as to capture the far edge of the loop and hide the resulting hole.

Ribbon rose

Let's consider another option that suggests crocheting roses. The patterns of petals and leaves are extremely simple and understandable. It is knitted in one row. The essence of this whole method is that the end result is a ribbon that folds and forms the flower itself.

We cast on an arbitrary number of air loops. We knit the first petal from two double crochets and two chains of air loops along the edges. Then we make one half-column and again dial a chain of 3 v/p. We make 2 more double crochets.

The third petal should be larger. Therefore, we increase the number of yarn overs and the stitches themselves. Consequently, the number of air loops in the chain will also increase.

Using this algorithm we knit an arbitrary number of petals. But it is worth remembering that too few of them will not produce a beautiful bud, and too many will not form well into the finished flower.

Rolling a rose

When all the petals in the ribbon are ready, the first stage is completed, representing crocheting a rose. We will look at leaf patterns at the last stage. Now let's start forming the flower.

To do this, we begin to twist the ribbon from the smaller petal to the larger one. At the same time, try not just to twist it into a tube, but to form a bud. To prevent the “roll” from falling apart, periodically stitch the bottom of the petals.

When the rose is assembled, sew the lower part thoroughly using the same yarn from which the flower is made.

Now you can start working on the leaves. They are knitted extremely simply: we make single crochets at the base and at the tip, add a few double crochets to the middle, but not many, so as not to end up with a bloated barrel. We either sew the finished leaves onto the rose or first sew them onto the product, and attach the flower at the top.

Roses in checks

The richest in patterns and pictures is fillet crochet. Rose patterns in this technique are the most common.

You can write more than one article about how to knit fillet flowers. Therefore, let us remember only the main principles of technology. The patterns in it are built on the basis of “painting over” empty cells, as if drawing in a notebook.

The basis of the patterns is a double crochet, two chain loops and a double crochet for empty cells and four double crochets for filled ones.

Rose diagrams are very simple to make: they can be copied from the finished product into the same notebook in a box. The example shown in the photo is a classic version of this pattern.
